Scene Depiction

For my scene depiction I chose a scene from the movie The Blind Side. This scene is close to the beginning but I think it is one of the most influential and one of the main turning points in the movie. This scene takes place alongside of a road at night. Even though it is dark the scene isn’t scary but the darkness and fog creates kind of a calming, secluded atmosphere. Although it isn’t raining in this scene it appears to be a pretty cold and rainy night. The scene starts off by the dad, Sean Tuohy, pulling the car to a quick hault along the side of the road. Michael, a big black guy is walking along the side of the road in a t-shirt and shorts and the mom, Leigh Ann Tuohy, gets out to see where he’s going.  She is dressed pretty nicely and in high heels, and although she immediately starts off aggressively asking him questions, you can tell she means well underneath. Although Michael is a big guy he talks to her with his head down and seems very shy and scared. After asking some more questions about what he was doing and if he had any where to stay that night, Leigh Ann pauses for a minute to consider what to do, looks back at the car that her son and husband have stayed in, and then decides to take him back to their house and let him stay there for the night.
